Ask the Experts:
Why should I sterilise? During your little one's first 12 months, their immune system is still developing so they need extra protection from germs that may cause gastroenteritis and other nasty bugs. To do this, you need to make sure that all feeding equipment is clean and properly sterilised.
What should I sterilise? Basically everything that can go into your baby's mouth! This includes bottles, teats, soothers, plastic feeding spoons, weaning bowls, teething rings, toys as well as your breastfeeding accessories such as breastpump parts and milk storage containers.
