Back in September 1951, Michael and Maureen O'Hara had a stroke of luck, a little win on the sweepstakes. It was enough to buy a bread oven and start baking bread and cakes for the local people of Foxford. The couple enjoyed meeting the local townspeople and quickly knew everyone by name. The small bakery grew and grew, employing 22 of the O'Hara family members and many of the local people of Foxford.
Ever since, the bakery's humble beginnings, the philosophy and attention to quality and care has remained the same. As Maureen used to say, "Care in the making, care in the baking".
