Oats are a source of wholegrain goodness that are high in fibre and naturally low in sugar, salt and saturated fat. Oats are also a source of protein and iron.
Beta-glucan is a soluble fibre found in oats and some other foods. Regular consumption of beta-glucan as part of a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle can contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Each serving (40g) contains one third (1g) of the 3g of beta-glucan suggested per day to help maintain normal cholesterol levels.

Flahavan's have been milling quality oats at the family mill beside the River Mahon in Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford for over 200 years. Our unique way of milling gives Flahavan's Organic Jumbo Oats their distinctive texture and taste.

As an independent Irish family business, we believe that a great day starts with the wholegrain goodness of a bowl of porridge. Delicious with just milk or water (or a mixture of both) and with your own toppings, you will be enjoying all the creamy wholesome taste you can expect from a Flahavan's breakfast.

Our Organic Jumbo Oats are a larger, thicker oat ideally suited for preparation as a delicious porridge with more bite, or as an ingredient in muesli or cooking.

Organic agriculture uses systems that promote the environmentally sound production of food, using soil fertility as a key to successful production. It respects the natural capacity of plants, animals and the landscape while seeking to enhance the quality of organic produce.
Environmentally friendly
At Flahavan's we take an environmentally friendly approach to the production of our products. We burn the outer shell of the oat to fuel the boiler which generates the steam used in the cooking process of the oats. We also use water from the original millstream at the River Mahon to generate electricity to help power the mill.
